J. Press opened his first store in New Haven in 1902, and his “sack” fit quickly came to define the Ivy look. With no darts in the front, this relaxed cut was favored by students who wore their tailored jackets everywhere from the lecture hall to the tennis court. We knew their original blazer was due for a revival, so we teamed with the masters to make ours in the USA from classic wool serge.
